Other ingredients in Theralac®

Magnesium Stearate - Only pharmaceutical grade, vegetable source product used in Theralac®. Allows Theralac® to be filled into capsules. Formulas with high percentage of active ingredients like Theralac® require magnesium stearate to flow freely. Mg stearate has been safely used in capsules and tablets for over 75 years. Grape Skin Extract – Only food grade source used. This is a natural antioxidant derived from grapes that protects the probiotics in Theralac® from oxidation in the presence of air and enhances their shelf life (Patented). Lactoferrin – A protein (peptide) found in milk that has natural antibiotic properties against gram negative bacteria like E. coli. People sensitive to dairy products are generally not affected by lactoferrin. On the Theralac® label it must be indicated as “milk” since it is derived from milk; this labeling requirement took effect in January 2006. Polysorbate-80 – Present in Theralac® capsules at less than 10 milligrams in a unique dry form called LactoStim™ (Patented). LactoStim™ is a prebiotic that stimulates Lactobacillus probiotic species. Only food grade polysorbate-80 is used in Theralac®. Silica – present in Theralac to reduce moisture and improve shelf life. Silica, or silicon dioxide, is a micronutrient in human nutrition; a food grade source is used in Theralac®. HPMC – A derivative of plant cellulose which comprises the Vcap™ capsules used for Theralac®. Cellulose – Food grade plant cellulose is used to standardize the probiotic strength of Theralac® which is guaranteed at 20 billion CFU/capsule through expiration.
